Marchex Leadership
Edwin Miller is an experienced technology executive with a history of formulating go-to-market strategies and business transformations in Cloud, AI, Data Analytics, Cyber Security, IT Services, and SaaS Enterprise Software. Prior to joining Marchex, Mr. Miller served as an operating executive with Gemspring Capital, a private equity firm with $3.4 billion of capital under management. In this role, he advised on all facets of company operations, from strategy to execution, for numerous technology businesses in the global technology landscape.
Mr. Miller previously served as CEO of Astreya, an IT services solution provider, and was a member of its board of directors. During his six years of leadership, the company nearly quadrupled revenue, while headcount doubled to more than 1,000 employees. Prior to Astreya, Mr. Miller was the CEO of Everest Software, an enterprise software company with more than 3,000 global customers, where he drove innovation in the product offerings and an improved go-to-market approach, prior to successfully exiting to Versata. He was also previously the CEO of InfoData, where he helped formulate and execute new business strategies, returning the company to profitable performance while achieving eleven consecutive quarters of growth. Ultimately, InfoData was acquired by a private company. Mr. Miller assembles top-tier executive talent to work with him, creating high-performing, dedicated teams that consistently achieve business goals. He holds an MBA from George Washington University and a business management degree from Liberty University.
Troy Hartless joined Marchex in 2023 to lead Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product Management, Solutions Consulting and Customer Success. Previously, Mr. Hartless served as the CEO of TLJ Capital. Prior to TLJ Capital, Mr. Hartless served as Chief Revenue Officer at Callis Communications, a SaaS IT business solutions provider, until the company was acquired by CSpire. Prior to Callis, Mr. Hartless served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Secure Data in Motion, a federated authentication and data encryption software company, in San Mateo, CA. Mr. Hartless orchestrated the sale of Secure Data in Motion to Proofpoint (PFPT), a publicly traded cybersecurity company. Mr. Hartless also served as the COO of Infodata Systems (INFD), until the company was acquired by McDonald Bradley. Mr. Hartless held several other executive positions including CRO at 9 Lenses, a data analytics company, and VP of Enterprise Solutions at Government Technology Services, Inc. (GTSI). He also worked in various positions in Marketing, Product Management and in the international division of a joint venture between Ericsson (ERIC) and General Electric (GE). Mr. Hartless earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Liberty University.
As leader of the company’s finance and accounting organizations, Holly brings her wealth of experience and knowledge to spearhead the financial strategies that underpin Marchex’s growth and innovation. Holly is an accomplished financial executive and has been a driving force behind the success of both private and Private Equity (PE)-backed organizations in technology services and products industries. Holly has a proven track record of implementing robust enterprise practices that eliminate performance inhibitors, leading to a demonstrable improvement in company profits and driving transformative initiatives. Her holistic approach to leadership ensures that Marchex is poised for success in the fast-paced and ever-evolving technology landscape.
Prior to her role at Marchex, Holly excelled in leading financial operations in dynamic industries and complex operating environments, most recently as CFO of NetCentrics Corporation. In each of her previous roles, Holly’s ability to navigate the intricate landscape of business, finance, compliance, and key relationships was instrumental in empowering executive management teams to realize corporate objectives and optimize overall corporate value.
Holly holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia, and is also a licensed CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Frank Feeney joined Marchex in 2018 to oversee the Company’s corporate, legal and strategic affairs. Previously, Mr. Feeney served as a senior partner at DLA Piper LLP (US), one of the largest law firms in the US and globally, with offices in more than 40 countries. At DLA, Mr. Feeney served as a Regional Office Head for DLA’s Corporate, Securities and Finance practice for 15 years. Prior to DLA, Mr. Feeney had senior leadership roles at several other leading national law firms and has more than 30 years of legal and management experience. Mr. Feeney’s private legal practice was primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions, securities law and corporate governance matters, private equity transactions and venture capital financings, with an emphasis on representing technology-based companies. Mr. Feeney has been Marchex’s chief legal advisor since its inception in 2003, including handling all of Marchex’s numerous corporate acquisitions, public stock offerings and strategic initiatives throughout this period. While at DLA, Mr. Feeney was annually recognized by Chambers and Partners as a leading US Corporate/M&A lawyer. Mr. Feeney earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center, and his B.S. (pre-law), summa cum laude, from Northeastern University. Mr. Feeney also attended the DLA Piper Harvard Leadership Program at the Harvard Business School.
Todd Wilson joined Marchex in 2011 and has held multiple leadership roles in the company. Currently, he’s the SVP of Product, AI and Data Analytics. Previously, Mr. Wilson served as the head of Corporate and Business Development at Corbis, a rights clearance and stock photo company. Prior to Corbis, Mr. Wilson was a Principal with Tucker Alan Inc., a consulting firm specializing in finance and accounting issues in litigation, which was sold to Navigant Consulting. Mr. Wilson earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame, and he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Cullen Davidson joined Marchex in 2019 as the leader of automotive product innovation and currently serves as the SVP of Engineering. Prior to joining Marchex, he was the Director of Product Management at CDK Global, where he was responsible for the development of all vehicle inventory related products across three continents. At Globys, Cullen launched a new machine learning based product business that spun out as its own venture-backed company. With over 20 years of technology experience, Mr. Davidson has led the launch of numerous innovative products to drive revenue growth by providing high-value solutions to customers. Mr. Davidson earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University.
Trevor Caldwell joined Marchex in 2004, prior to Marchex’s IPO, as Strategic Initiatives & Investor Relations Director with a strong background in the communications, emerging technology and digital media industries. He has over 20 years of experience in Corporate Development, Merger & Acquisitions, Strategic Partnerships, Investor Relations, Equity Research, Entrepreneurship and Management. Mr. Caldwell’s expertise includes corporate strategy development and communicating with a variety of investor audiences while navigating the course of a company’s evolution in the public markets. Previously, he had a deep background in Equity Research and Institutional Sales at several investment banks including Legg Mason, Thomas Weisel Partners and Volpe Brown & Whelan. Mr. Caldwell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Economics and Political Science from Colorado College.
Alissa Yeganeh joined Marchex in 2020 and leads Customer Success, responsible for Implementation, Customer Support, and Account Management. Prior to Marchex, she led Customer Success teams at Formation, a start-up focused on artificial intelligence based dynamic offer optimization and personalization. Ms. Yeganeh spent 10 years in Management Consulting at Accenture, where her work spanned customer experience; analytics; and program, project, and product management. Ms. Yeganeh holds a Bachelor of Economics from the College of William and Mary.
Brian Nagle is the Vice President and Corporate Controller at Marchex, a position he assumed in August 2024. He brings over 15 years of extensive experience in finance, operations, and strategic planning across multiple industries. Before joining Marchex, Brian was Vice President of Accounting at Seekr Technologies. Prior to that, he served as Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting at Emergent BioSolutions.
Brian began his career at KPMG LLP, where he rose to the role of Audit Senior Manager. He holds degrees in Accounting and Corporate Finance from Salisbury University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Julie Warner joined Marchex in 2019 to lead the company’s Human Resources function. In this role she is responsible for all facets of people-related functions including compensation and benefits, diversity, employee relations, communications, policy, performance management, talent acquisition and talent management. Ms. Warner has more than 20 years of human resources experience including most recent serving as the VP of Human Resources at Entirenet, a B2B content creation company out of Bellevue, WA. Prior to Entirenet, Ms. Warner was the Human Resources Manager at Ontain Corporation.
Ms. Warner holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Pacific Lutheran University, a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Washington, and PHR and SHRM-CP certifications.
Lyall Vanatta joined Marchex in 2023 and, as the VP of Marketing, is responsible for corporate and field marketing, demand generation, PR, and digital marketing initiatives. Previously, Mr. Vanatta held numerous executive positions in high-tech, healthcare, financial services, energy, and government markets. He brings significant experience in building demand-generation frameworks that have been used successfully around the globe.
Before Marchex, Mr. Vanatta served as the SVP of Marketing for Secure Data In Motion (dba Sigaba), a B2B secure information-sharing solutions software company, where he was responsible for corporate marketing, product marketing, and product management. He also served as the VP of Marketing for Infodata Systems (INFD), leading teams responsible for corporate marketing, product marketing, product management, quality assurance, and customer support. The company was taken private by McDonald Bradley Corporation, where he then helped to spin off the software business section to Information Systems Inc. Here, he served as VP of Marketing and established a channel reseller program with IBM Global Services (Pharmaceutical and Healthcare). Mr. Vanatta holds an MBA from George Washington University, where he served as President of the Executive MBA Alumni Association, and a business degree from George Mason University.
